I am a big fan of Renee Zellweger already and I think she is much underrated. This film is all about her performance which is outstanding. If she doesn't win an Oscar it will be as big a travesty as when Saoirse Ronan didn't win for "Brooklyn. Thank you Renee & supporting cast for a great afternoon's entertainment. So much much more than the Wizard of Oz. If only people would realize that. They have no clue. She looks like Joyce DeWitt here. I only way you could tell the Liza character was Liza was the haircut. Renee has done some good acting in other movies but this was not one of them. I just about fell over when I first saw the fully restored version of this movie before the studio hacked it to pieces. I believe it effectively cost her a well deserved Academy Award. She was only 32 during this filming. With that though came her deeper womans voice. Which I love especially in that little show stopper, The Man That Got Away.
